Barry Manilow: Barry Manilow has experienced a hugely successful career as a pop star, creating hits like "Mandy," "Copacabana (At the Copa)," and "Could It Be Magic"; and those are just the hits he's written for himself. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-musician is one of the leading Adult Contemporary artists in the world, having released eight multi-platinum albums. Barry Manilow's latest album, 15 Minutes, proves that the hit-maker has still got it, and that his international celebrity hasn't gone to his head. This summer, while performing his regular concert schedule at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Barry Manilow will perform a select number of 2011 tour dates in the US.

After attending Julliard, Barry Manilow began his musical career as an arranger for musicals and a jingle writer. Manilow is credited with writing jingles that are still used today, including State Farm's "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there" ad. In 1970, Barry began playing piano at the Continental Baths bath house in New York City for a variety of big name performers, including Bette Midler. While working with Midler, Manilow released his debut, self-titled album in 1974. He would experience greater success with Barry Manilow II, which contained the breakout single, "Mandy." Ensuing tour dates contained what Manilow called a "V.S.M." or very strange medley containing some of his most famous jingles. Barry Manilow continued to produce hit singles (and albums) throughout the 70s, including, but not limited to "Looks Like We Made It" and "I Write the Songs." His hit club anthem, "Copacabana," was recorded for the Goldie Hawn film Foul Play and its popularity spread well beyond the boundaries of the film.

By this time, Barry Manilow's tour dates were selling out all over the world and the singer was even hosting his own musical specials on ABC. Barry's platinum record streak continued into the 80s, not only releasing hit songs for himself, but also for other famous artists. Manilow's career went slightly unnoticed throughout the 90s, but he returned to the top of the charts in 2006 with the release of The Greatest Songs of the Fifties. The album showcased Barry Manilow's talented vocals as he songs classic hits from yesteryear, much like he did earlier in his career. The singer continued to release a series of the album, leading up to an 80s installment in 2008 and The Greatest Love Songs of all Time in 2010.

15 Minutes was released at the beginning of summer in 2011 and Manilow claims that Britney Spears' struggles with fame directly inspired the songs. The album has broken into the top 10 and come as a delight to Barry Manilow's fans. Manilow is also treating his fans, not only to his regular concerts at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, but also to a few tour dates in 2011. Beginning on August 24, Barry Manilow will play four tour dates in Ontario, Canada and upstate New York. In February 2012, the singer will perform three shows at Radio City Music Hall, thus ending his scheduled tour dates for 2011.
