The XL Center is a multi-purpose large-scale events and entertainment facility located in downtown Hartford, CT. The venue first opened its doors to the public in 1975 when it was known as the the Hartford Civic Center Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Exhibition Center, or more simply, the Hartford Civic Center. It wasn't until 2007 that the venue took on its current title when the complex signed a deal with XL insurance.

Today, the XL Center is home to the AHL's, Connecticut Whale and the NCAA's, Uconn Huskies - two teams whose home games form an integral part of the XL Center schedule. With a capacity surpassing 16,000, the Center is also the ideal setting for a variety of family shows, trade shows, conventions, sporting events and concerts. Indeed, over the years, the venue has played host to many of the biggest names in entertainment: Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Frank Sinatra, Tina Turner, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, the Beach Boys and Green Day are just a few of those featured on the XL Center schedule in the past.
